Canada Line

The Cambie Cut and Cover is one of the main sections of the Canada Line connecting downtown Vancouver to Vancouver International Airport and downtown Richmond. The Cambie Cut and Cover consists of cast-in-place concrete tunnelling under Cambie Street from 2nd Avenue to Southwest Marine Drive. As Quality Managers, we prepared and implemented the Quality Control Plan (QCP).

 

Our focus was to assure that materials and workmanship met the appropriate codes, specifications and design requirements. NHKS oversaw the quality of concrete, backfill, asphalt, welding and coating of steel pipes, reinforced steel fabrication and installation, and finally the Cambie Street restoration. We were responsible for reviewing all Quality Control and Quality Assurance test reports.
